I attended a Lutheran Church for nearly 30 years — the church I attended before my wife Deb and I were married – the same church we were married in and then raised our children in. I always thought I was a Christian. Until I was invited by Ron Dahlen to attend one of the Wednesday night gatherings (pre-GCBC church plant) to hear Pastor Jeff preach. I attended once and really liked it; so, I asked Deb to come with me the next week. We started attending and felt like we were actually learning something and growing in our faith. Well, it went into my heart and my eyes were opened to the Lord while hearing the word preached by Pastor Jeff. It was the first time that I really recognized my sinful nature and wanted redemption and forgiveness. Life has never been the same since.
I now enjoy serving at GCBC while studying the myriad responsibilities of becoming a Deacon. This has allowed me to grow in my relationship with the Elders and other Deacons and has strengthened my walk with the Lord. I look forward to taking ownership of providing refreshments for Sunday social hour, picnics, and special events. This gives me an opportunity to serve while fellowshipping with fellow members and guests.
I’ve worked for Villaume Industries in Eagan for over 46 years. My journey with Villaume began as I worked as a laborer in the Truss division in production. In time I advanced to Foreman, supervising our panel division, and from there I was promoted to the Sales force. I have sold floor and roof trusses for new home construction ever since.
Deb and I have been married for over 37 years and we have two beautiful daughters together, Ashley and Jennifer. Currently, both live out of state and we make time to connect with them often. Deb and I both come from large families. We enjoy helping each other with various and sundry projects. In our spare time we enjoy checking out new restaurants and coffee houses throughout the Twin Cities.
