Many years before Grace Community Bible Church (GCBC) came to be, the Lord put a desire in one man’s heart for an expository preaching ministry south of the river. This man asked the Twin Cities Bible Church (TCBC) elders to help start a new church “down south.”
In 2004, Dr. Jeff Rich was called from Chicago back to the Twin Cities to train and plant a church with TCBC south of the river.
In 2007, the Lord called Don Feldsien to TCBC to train as a pastor.
In September 2008, Jeff and Don began leading us through Bible studies on Wednesday nights in a pole barn in south Lakeville. Here, Jeff began preaching through the book of Titus.
In March 2009, we incorporated as a church under the state laws of Minnesota.
On April 26, 2009, our little congregation celebrated our first Sunday as a true local church with 100 people in attendance that day. Two months later, on June 29, 2009, our first baptismal service was held.
A year and a half later after we had developed our membership process, on October 10, 2010, we observed our Charter member Sunday 43 inaugural members.
In the fall of 2012, GCBC ordained our third pastor, Dan Burrus. Two years later, we ordained a fourth pastor, Paul Fuller. In August of 2015, we were blessed to commission our first missionary from our local body, Bobby Harnist, church planter to Austria.
